A New Luxury Hotel in Marbella East

The prestigious hotel chain W Marbella has chosen Marbella to install its first luxury hotel in Spain.

The Platinum Estates Group will build a five star luxury resort in Marbella that will be managed by the North American chain W Hotels Worlwide and is scheduled to open in 2021.

The announcement of the signing of the agreement to build the resort W Marbella has aroused many expectations among foreign investors to invest in the city and has had an impact on 400 million people in the world. This is the resurgence of international brands, reinforcing the Marbella brand and generating a very positive impact on the whole of the Costa del Sol.

The W brand is projected to manage 75 hotels worldwide, it now has 50 and this year will open six more. The chain has a customer profile that complements the type of offer Marbella has.  This establishment will be the third one in Spain after the Hotel Vela in Barcelona and the future W Madrid, which will open its doors in the capital in 2018.

The W Marbella will join the other 50 hotels of the brand around the world, including W Las Vegas, W Goa and W Punta de Mita, as well as the upcoming openings such as W Shangai, W Tel Aviv, W Madrid, W Panama And W Dubai – The Palm.

W Marbella will be the fourth W Escape in Europe, a range newly created by W Hotels, located in ski, beach and leisure destinations around the world, leaving traditional resorts as a less attractive option.

W Hotels Worlwide is one of the leading brands in the hotel sector today, so that its appearance in Marbella raises the quality on offer, renewing the hotel content in Marbella in the High Luxury sector and with a respectful project in line with environmental protection. The agreement ensures the future of Marbella as a tourist destination and ensures that the municipality continues to be at the forefront with profitable and socially respectful investments.

The economic contribution of the investment of the W Marbella will mean an income for the municipality of approximately 15 million euros. The construction of the hotel will cost 150 million euros, with a period of execution between 18 and 24 months and with an estimated 700 to 800 new jobs.

The W Marbella, which is scheduled to open in 2021 and the Beach Club will be operational in the summer of 2018, will be located on the Real Zaragoza beach and will have 200 rooms – including 27 suites – and 100 tourist apartments and villas.

The promoter of the W Marbella will invest more than 6 million Euros to improve the access in Las Chapas and to the future hotel, increasing also the protection of the dunes, which will be integrated in the complex, as a tourist asset and a further attraction of the hotel .

The hotel W Marbella will be distributed over four floors occupying an area of 53,176 m2, with more than 54,000 m2 of green area. It will offer 200 spacious rooms, including 26 suites and an Extreme Wow Suite, the extravagant brand-specific vision of the traditional Presidential Suite, it will feature a vibrant bar and emblematic restaurant, AWAY spa with beauty salon and juice bar, FIT avant-garde training facility and two WET pools.

And for those looking for a unique space for their next meeting, W Marbella will offer five ultra modern meeting rooms with covered terrace, with 1,000 m2, perfect for parties and outdoor events.

The Residences at W Marbella will consist of 100 apartments and villas. The residences in front of the beach will offer its owners privileged access to all services and facilities of the W Marbella, including reservations in the restaurants, bars and lounges of the hotel; Room service in the accommodation as well as STYLE cleaning and a private pool.
