Beaches and Beachfront Properties in Marbella
In the 1990´s many areas of Marbella were renovated and improved including a large number of the streets and beaches. Marbella has one of the most impressive coastlines in Spain, and it stretches out for approximately 27km, from Cabopino in the east to Guadalmina in the west.
Marbella´s 24 beaches are all semi-urban and some of the most impressive “Beach Properties” can be found in this part of the Costa del Sol, in exclusive complexes like Laguna de Banús, Malibú and Oasis de Banús.
Noteworthy are the beaches of Artola, which lies within the protected area of the Artola Dunes; La Fontanilla which is central and very popular; and Puerto Banús and San Pedro de Alcántara, both of which have been awarded the blue flag by FEE (Foundation for Environmental Education) for meeting the Foundation´s standards with regard to safety, water quality, services on offer and environmental management.
These lovely fine sandy beaches lined by the Marbella Paseo Marítimo (Promenade) go back inland towards the many luxury residential developments, such as Sierra Blanca, La Trinidad and Monte Paraíso; golf courses such as La Quinta Golf, Magna Marbella Golf and Real Golf Club Las Brisas; not to mention the mountain village havens of Istán, Ojén, Monda and Coin.
