Tarifa is the southernmost point in continental Europe, on the Costa de la Luz in the province of Cádiz, and only an hour and a half drive to the west of Marbella. Tarifa experiences a Mediterranean climate but is greatly influenced by its proximity to the Atlantic Ocean. Warm summers and mild winters are characteristic of this area, and summers are cooler and winters warmer than in most of the country.  If you have a property in Marbella, or are thinking about buying a property in Marbella, then its great to have such a wonderful and diverse region such as Tarifa so close by.

The area also attracts those interested in watching whales and dolphins, and migrating birds. the town´s historic centre is amongst some of the loveliest in Andalusia, and echoes back to influences from its Moorish past.  Tarifa really does offer something for everyone, and is well worth a visit.
