One of the attractions of Marbella is the prevalence of some of the best restaurants in Spain. Its multinational and cosmopolitan outlook ensures cuisines from all corners of the world can be found in the myriad of fine-dining establishments within this exclusive resort town.

Dani Garcia Restaurant Marbella

While there truly is something for everyone, the gold standard for food of the highest quality is to be found at those restaurants recognised by the internationally renowned Michelin guide. Marbella is home to four of the 13 Michelin starred restaurants in Andalucía, so we thought we would give you a brief guide to the best of the town’s dining plus two other Michelin restaurants not far away…

Dani García adds a golden touch to the Golden Mile

Located across the road from our office on Marbella’s Golden Mile is the most renowned of the town’s restaurants. Set in the beautiful tropical gardens of the Puente Romano Hotel’s Plaza Village collection of eateries, the two Michelin star Restaurant Dani García features the fabulous creative cuisine of the superstar chef himself.

A visit to Dani García’s is a complete experience that is about more than just the superb food, with the elegant decor setting the scene for an evening’s culinary entertainment.

Should you not be able to get a table, head next door to Dani García’s other restaurant—BIBO, which offers a selection of traditional dishes enhanced with the García flair. It might not have a Michelin star, but it does rate a ‘Bib Gourmand’ from the guide for ‘very good value for less than €31’.

El Lago’s creative and imaginative regional cuisine

This restaurant has built a fine reputation for its cuisine, which is focused on using the best local products to create a fine dining experience in beautiful surroundings. In the words of the Michelin guide:“El Lago‘s standout feature is its location on a relaxing golf course opposite a man-made lake.”
