The Evolution of Golden Mile Gourmet Dining
The dining scene at Puente Romano has transformed remarkably since the arrival of Nobu. In fact, you can trace it back to the famous Malagueño chef Dani García’s restaurant in 2014 with his original Cocina Contradición. The restaurant received three Michelin stars for blending his grandmother’s (abuela’s) recipes with modern techniques into a world-renowned reinterpretation of Mediterranean Andalusian cuisine, including his famous mini Burger Bulls.
When Dani García Restaurant closed in 2019, he launched the Dani García Group to reinvent his brand, return to his authentic roots, and make his cuisine accessible to a broader audience. He then opened Leña and BiBo (now closed) in his former Michelin-starred location and later Lobito de Mar, all within the heart of the Golden Mile.
The Dani García Group restaurants sparked the evolution of Golden Mile dining into a leading world-class fine dining hotspot. Once the Dani García group made its mark, Nobu followed, and little by little, the area was graced with ever more world-class dining establishments. Most of these venues, especially those within the Puente Romano resort, offer a VIP feel with valet parking service.
Below is our curated list of the best fine dining restaurants for dinner and a great night out around Puente Romano and the Golden Mile.
