Marbella residents rarely need an excuse to dress up, and Halloween is no exception. Most of the Golden Mile’s most high-end venues and restaurants plan to celebrate the day in style, with galas and parties, complemented by town hall and family events across the region.
In 2026, Halloween falls on Saturday 31st October, so Andalucía has moved the All Saints’ holiday to Monday 2 November, allowing many residents a long weekend. This guide covers the range of Halloween events in Marbella this year: Puente Romano’s Halloween Weekend, galas and dinners on the Golden Mile, family events, late-night parties in Puerto Banús, and the Día de Muertos beach events that close the weekend.
Please note that Spain has declared three days of national mourning for the victims of the train accident in the province of Toledo on 28 October 2026. Marbella town hall has suspended its institutional events during this period and moved its Halloween celebrations to Sunday 1 November. The town hall dates below have been updated. Private venues may also change their plans, so please confirm with them before you go.
Marbella’s Halloween weekend 2026 at a glance
Friday 30 October: Puente Romano opens its Halloween Weekend with The Cursed Circus in La Plaza. Family events in Nueva Andalucía, El Paraíso and San Pedro.
Saturday 31 October: Halloween night with parties across town. The Great Gatsby Gala, children’s parties across the town, and club nights from the Golden Mile to Puerto Banús.
Sunday 1 November: Todos los Santos (All Saints’ Day). The town hall’s rescheduled Halloween celebrations in Marbella, San Pedro and Nueva Andalucía, the Tostón chestnut day, Día de Muertos events on the beach, and Don Juan Tenorio at the Teatro Ciudad de Marbella.
Monday 2 November: Public holiday in Andalucía. Schools and most offices are closed.
1 November in Spain: Todos los Santos, castañas and Don Juan Tenorio
Halloween arrived in Spain relatively recently. The older holiday is Todos los Santos (All Saints’ Day) on 1 November. It is a national public holiday, and for many Spanish families it is a day to visit cemeteries, bring flowers and remember relatives. In 2026 it falls on a Sunday, which is why Andalucía has moved the day off to Monday 2 November.
In Andalucía, All Saints’ Day is also about autumn food. Roasting chestnuts outdoors, known in Málaga province as the tostón, is a long-standing 1 November tradition. Marbella’s main Tostón is in the Parque de Nagüeles from midday on Sunday 1 November, with chestnuts handed out between 16:00 and 18:00, and San Pedro holds its own in the Parque de los Tres Jardines. This year the town hall’s Halloween celebrations fall on the same day following the train tragedy earlier in the week. Bakeries sell huesos de santo (marzipan “saints’ bones”) and buñuelos through the week.
The other tradition is theatrical. José Zorrilla’s 19th-century play Don Juan Tenorio, with its graveyard scenes and ghosts, is traditionally staged around All Saints’. In Marbella, the Asociación Amigos del Teatro Ciudad de Marbella performs it at the Teatro Ciudad de Marbella on Saturday 31 October at 20:00 and Sunday 1 November at 18:00. Tickets are €10, available online through mientrada.net or at the theatre box office. It is in Spanish.
Luxury Halloween galas and dinners
Many of Marbella’s best restaurants are hosting themed events throughout the weekend. True to Puente Romano’s reputation for celebrations, its Halloween Weekend spans three days and most of the resort’s restaurants and nightclubs, while Forum Marbella hosts hip hop Halloween events all day on Saturday 31 October, while Forum Marbella has hip hop Halloween events the entire day Saturday 31st,

Town hall Halloween and Tostón events (rescheduled)
Though normally the town hall would host free events the whole weekend, in 2026 Marbella town hall’s Halloween celebrations have moved from Saturday 31 October to Sunday 1 November because of the national mourning following the train accident tragedy in Toledo on 28 October. Those events have been scheduled for the same day as the Tostón, the traditional chestnut day, which goes ahead as planned. Full details are on the Ayuntamiento de Marbella agenda.

Do children trick or treat in Marbella?
Door-to-door trick or treating is less common than in the UK or US. Most children take part through organised events instead, such as the trick-or-treat trail at Puente Romano’s Pica Pica party or the town hall celebrations on Sunday 1 November.
Is there a free Halloween event in Marbella?
Yes. Marbella town hall’s free Halloween celebration, El reino de las sombras, has moved to Sunday 1 November 2026 because of the national mourning. It runs from 18:00 to midnight on the Paseo de la Alameda, Avenida Nabeul and Parque de la Represa, with a separate event on the boulevard in San Pedro de Alcántara at the same time.
Is 2 November 2026 a public holiday in Andalucía?
Yes. All Saints’ Day falls on Sunday 1 November in 2026, so Andalucía has moved the holiday to Monday 2 November. Schools and most offices are closed, making it a four-day weekend from Friday 30 October.
What is Día de Muertos and why is it celebrated in Marbella?
Día de Muertos is a Mexican tradition honouring the dead, known for Catrina skull make-up and decorated altars. It is not a Spanish custom, but several Marbella beach clubs, including Chiringuito Puente Romano, Playa Padre and La Plage Casanis, now host Día de Muertos events on 1 November to close the Halloween weekend.
